In 2024, we brought to life what began as a pilot program in 2023. The “STEM Education” program at Liceo Bicentenario de Dalcahue, in the beautiful Los Lagos region, became a reality thanks to our partnership with ENGIE, allowing us to bring innovative technological tools to transform science classes, empower teachers, and motivate students to explore the STEM world in a dynamic, fun, and meaningful way.
With this program, ENGIE and Lab4U’s commitment to STEM education goes beyond teaching science; we aim to create an inclusive space where all students, regardless of gender, can feel like active participants in this world. We know that knowledge is power, and we are here to break barriers, shatter stereotypes, and ensure that everyone has access to the same opportunities.
With this goal in mind, during the year, we held two powerful gender-focused STEM Bootcamps, designed to inspire both teachers and students, encouraging them to approach science with a fresh and transformative perspective on how to incorporate diverse strategies that allow for innovative, inclusive, and equitable practices in the classroom, promoting collaborative learning and the development of key future skills in the STEM field.
With the support of ENGIE, we have been able to bring this program to Dalcahue, planting the seeds of a more diverse future filled with opportunities in the scientific field. We are proud to see how this program is not only fostering an interest in science but is also preparing students to be part of the future workforce in a vital industry for Chile, such as the energy sector. Furthermore, it has allowed us to strengthen the work of the teaching team through training and support, leaving a long-lasting impact and capacity within the communities, to continue advancing in the future of STEM education.
Together, we will keep opening paths, and this is just the beginning!
