2024 began with great excitement for the “STEM Education” program at the Liceo Bicentenario Minero de Alto Hospicio, a partnership between Lab4U and Collahuasi that created more and new opportunities for its students.
Thanks to Collahuasi’s support, the program drove the transformation of science teaching and learning by introducing technological tools that turn every class into a dynamic, fun, and hands-on experience using the Lab4U App on cell phones or tablets. Aimed at empowering both teachers and students, this initiative was able to connect theory with reality, making learning a true adventure.
The program supported 568 students and involved a dedicated team of five teachers who, together with Lab4U, filled the classrooms with creativity, talent, and experiential learning. Through innovative experiments and technological tools, the students became increasingly motivated and connected with the STEM world in ways they had never imagined, opening doors to a future filled with opportunities in scientific, technical, and industrial fields.
This program not only enriched science classes but also strengthened students’ interest and knowledge in STEM in the Tarapacá region, contributing to the retention of talent for the mining industry in the region. Additionally, the program provided support to the teaching team at the school with tools to maximize experimentation spaces, strengthen strategies to address PAES-related content, and use Artificial Intelligence as an educational tool, among others.
The future is in our hands, and science is the key to unlocking it!
